Kishori Shakti Yojna

 

This scheme is being implemented with an objective to empower the adolescent girls in 840 Projects of the State. The Government of India provides the funds under the programme. Under the scheme, training on nutrition and health education, reproductive & child health, anaemia is being provided to the adolescent girls aged 11-18 years. Under the scheme 60 girls are selected in each Block and are then divided in 2 groups of 30 girls each for providing 3-day training on health & nutrition education and 60-day technical training. In the financial year 2007-08 it is proposed to benefit 50400 adolescent girls and there is a provision of Rs. 924.00 lakh for the same. Benefiting 50400 adolescent girls Rs. 922.71 lacs has been expended till March 2008.

In the financial year 2008-09, there is a provision of Rs. 924.00 lacs. This year is target of total beneficiaries 50400 adolescent girls.
